So in the last couple days, several people have reblogged a couple of my recent posts saying that they were the only i/p posts they were going to reblog, and at least a couple people have seriously reconsidered their understanding of what Zionism actually means.

And honestly? It makes dealing with the antisemitic trolls and the bait asks and the rude drive-by comments worth it. You can't hurt my feelings in a way that matters because my words are reaching people in warmth and comfort and peace, and that matters so much more.

If I reach even one person and help them to be kinder and encourage them to make a positive difference, it will have been worth it. It is worth it.

So I was thinking about how I switch between Polish and English in my thoughts (blame that one poll), and ended up thinking about confidence, and how the Latin word for faith landed up as the English word for certainly/probability (makes sense) and Polish word "konfident" meaning a secret agent, or, basically, a snitch (derogatory), and how the literal Latin meaning is "someone who trusts" (I think?), and @edennill I can very much think of a group in the Legendarium that would have the exact same linguistics phenomenon going on.
